I agree James autos are boring and I hate them but have you seen the prices of T56's these days? Plus I could get this drivetrain for less then $500

wiring for the OBD2 port, rest is in the PCM and wire harness. Sounds like a good project. Are you going to build the engine first or just swap it in and get it running.

Still in the planning stages, I would build it up a little possibly something like B did... But not sure yet still looking and doing some research to see if it would be worth it in the end or should I stick to a carb engine.

I would definetly stick with fuel injection, if your worried about wiring get a plug and play harness, it makes it a breeze. And theyre also not all that expensive. Or if your good with electrical it wouldnt take much to make the harness that comes with the engine a stand alone by adding a few relays for the fuel pump and fans and making a few power and ground connections.

It's not a 93 and it's not coming as a package deal I don't remember the year I'll look. I'd be buying a lt1 and then a 700r trans to go behind it or another trans that would work... I just was offered and great deal on a 700r...



EDIT: Its out of a 1996 Caprice with apparently 50,000 Miles on it...

why dont you just run the 4l60e? it has the harness and pcm for it, just upgrade the trans while you rebuild it, ill give you a hand if you want

also, i built the harness in my truck, well did a LOT of modifying, im sure i could give you a hand wiring it up as well
