Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Basically, if you have a dark colored car as your daily driver, you will very rarely ever be happy with driving it as it will always be too dirty for you. Mine won't stay clean for more than three days. And even to keep it clean for those three days I'm cleaning the wheels daily and using a california car duster.

white, however dont use the factory white, use more of an arctic white like sean has.
The actual color of the car is artic white from the factory, thats what the RPO codes say at least.
Thanks for the comments guys I think you have helped me keep my orginal thoughts. Hopefully I can get to the body shop tomorrow or this weekend and get some quotes. I'm not going for a show room quality paint job here just as a FYI guys this car is a driver and a daily at that in the summer, I am looking to take care of the body and make it look good but by no means will it be show room...

Arctic white is a factory color..it has just changed shades over the years. Sean's in more towards the pure white while mine has more blue in it. The later years are much brighter than the mid/late 80's.
Another question you might ask is, "How much is your car worth with factory appointments?" From what I have seen even super clean 3rd gens are not worth a whole lot.
I mean you would be repainting the car anyway, which doesn't repainting decrease value anyway? Also are you planning on selling your car in the near future?
Patience, grasshopper, patience...it's too soon for them.
But it is almost time for a low mileage 1982 Indy Pace Car Camaro to show up at BJ and pull down $30K or more...cars really don't start to appreciate until they're 25-30 years old.
And, no, repainting a car does not automatically decrease the value.
Painting it some silly color or scheme that only appeals to 1% of the population will though...

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.

I noticed the difference in your white and seans white at the M&G, James what color code is yours? Or should I just go with the factory artic white?

To follow up with what James said, pre-1996 GM started out with GM paint codes 9 through 12, each of them a different tint of white (technically the first Artic White was code 10).
Then there was the introduction in 92 for a code 40 White, and in 94 for code 50 White Clearcoat.
After 96 it was nearly exclusively code 50 White Clearcoat.
Not 100% sure of the induction years, but it should be close.
This is for all of GM, not just F-bodies...
