  • No go on the Camaro

Well me and my fa-ja (father) went and checked out that camaro i've been talking about again today. And we came to the decision that I'm not going to get it. I do want a project car but not this much of a project car. Floor boards are ALL rusted out, Everything in the interior needs to be replaced, and I mean it when I say EVERYTHING. And heres some pics of the body and such attatched. Hood needs realigned, little bit of rust by the t tops, one t top has a crack, and the front bumber is pretty bad. Car has been a "oh lets see how I do at *insert something to do with cars*" kind of car.

        Holy sh*t that's a rough puppy.

You must be looking in the wrong places. You could get a GTA in nice condition, 70k ish miles and no winters for about $4,000.

*Generally* a GTA will be a nicer condition then your average camaro/IROC because of their higher cost new and less production. If you look for GTAs you should find a much better % of nice cars to rust buckets. Not to mention third gen camaros are the stereotypical mullet mobile, dont look as cool as T/As and have a vastly inferior interior. Birds have electronic gauges, nicer dashes, nicer door panels, GTAs have cool sport seats, that kinda stuff. Third gen IROCs are just all business feeling and rather lack luster inside, and I dont like their gauges at all.

There are lots of GTA's around.

I got mine about a week and a half after I decided I wanted to buy one.

yeah it was a 350, out of an old k5 blazer, it was in bad shape, when the engine ran, the alternator ran at around 11 volts and the oil pressure around 70 at IDLE, I was like HOLY SH*T. the car does sound bad ass though, louder than hell. But yeah thanks much for the block numbers

I took a quick look on Ebay and found this 1988 GTA 350 w/67,000 miles down by Dayton w/ a reserve of $4500. Not bad looking. And you're right, it does have a nice interior. It looks like a real bargain against that $2900 IROC

yeah, i aslo saw that one. I just wouldn't want another red one, maybe a white one with the tan interior.
