were is the filler for the trans on this car. i wanna check it. and ive never owned a manual so idk where it is. thanks

pics up when theres a nice day out and i can wash it.

Treat that trans gently ...it really isnt a fan of being beat on

There are 2 plugs on the passenger side of the trans ...they are 3/8in i think so just use a 3/8in ratchet with an extention

easiest way to change fluid is to remove the bottom plug and let it drain then remove your console and shifter (make sure everything looks ok there as well since you dont really know how it was driven). Place bottom plug back into trans and remove the top plug. Pour trans fluid into the toploader slowly. Leave the drainpan underneath and have someone tell you when the new fluid starts comming out. Place everything back.. and you are good to go

remember its ATF not gear lube

enjoy ....I have nearly an identical car an i love driving it

If you don't want to take apart your shifter and everything I would definitely recommend getting a fluid transfer pump. You can pick them up at Murray's or Meijer for like $7, they're made by Pennzoil and allow you to pump fluid from the bottle right into the fill hole.

Erik where in White Lake are you? I'm up by Teggerdine/M59.

      Used to own a Firebird.
