My temp gage quit working on my 89 GTA. I looked in the manual to locate the temp sensor to see if a wire is loose. It says look for the temp sensor on the front of the left cyl head. I looked there, and don't see it. Any body else know where it may be..? I don't trust this Haynie book to much...it gave me incorrect info for a steering column issue. Thanks in advance.

on my LT1 it is in the side of the head. look in the area of the exhaust ports.-Joel

Your car from the factory will have a single green wire running to the sensor in the driver's side cylinder head....this is for the guage on the IP. The ECM uses a different sensor FYI.sigpicTurbo Charged LS1/T56

I was underneath the car Saturday doing an oil change. From below the sensor and wire a easy to see. Couldn't see zip form above. Snapped the connector on, and gage works fine. Thanks for the help. Yes it was on srivers side between 1 and 3.Comment
