Got my Comp Cam 12-268-4 and lifters in, Vortec heads and rockers on. Most the accessories seem to be on and in the right location lol. Man did we run into a LOT of stalls and bullshit. Probably ran to the auto stores 4 times.
Also painted my headers in primer VHT while they were off. Very disappointed in this product. The sprayer on the cans kept malfunctioning and spraying like a hose.

Kinda wish i picked a little bigger cam but o well.

Heres a mock up with the intake sitting on it

My balancer somehow got separated in two while removing with the puller. So I got a new one of those. The crank shaft bolt came out, but 3 or 4 of the threads were mashed and squished together. So we picked up a new bolt and ran a tap through the crankshaft a couple of times to straighten the threads back and boy did it need it. Next we put the heads on and went to get the headers on and for some reason we could not get the headers to bolt up in the very back. What do you know there is a broken off bolt in there so we took the head off and had to take it up to the auto shop to get the bolt out and get another gasket. Swear I have more money in gaskets alone than anything else on this car. Other than that we put down the tools and decided it couldve been worse in many ways. My dad went back down to Georgia so we'll see when progress starts back up.

Looks like you're making good progress so far, Jake! Don't let the slow downs get to ya - it's definitely going to happen when we do the work ourselves!
