The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Yea she hasnt been out yet this year. I've actually only driven it around my block once or twice. It's really depressing seeing it just sitting there with the cover on it.
Thanks for all the support everyone! I'm getting really pumped up about this project and I am really looking forward to the drivablity of the new engine and suspension! Didn't get much work done to it at all this weekend unfortunatly. Hopefully I can get some work done on it this week. I'll update when I get some work done to it.

3.8L w/ 180xxx miles and going strong!!!!!
Got a little work done to the interior tonight. I got the console riped out and the dash pad off. And after battling the steering wheel for an hour I finally got it off. The game plan for tmrw is to get the rest of the dash out and get the new 1999 dash fabed up and mounted. Once its in then I can start to get the motor out and hopefully in about a month once I get a few things done to the dd, I can go and pick up my motor. Then it's just the wiring that is the big issue. I'm hoping that by the end of this week I can have the new dash all mounted up and ready to go for the engine swap. Well enough of the talking and here are some pics of the progress.
Well after a long time of sitting under the cover I finally got my butt in gear and started working on the car this past weekend. I still have a ton of work left but with the way things are shaping up it looks like I'll be able to get some more work time in on it.
Interior:
So far I got the heater core out and put the 4th gen dash in. I still have to run the wiring and make a few braces for the dash to mount to the firewall (just as extra mounting points). I am currently in the works to design a custom made console for the car and I am reworking the 3rd gen A-pillars to fit the 4th gen dash with the air vents that go to the dash. The factory 4th gen gauges are going to be replaced with Autometer Cobal series gauges, just to make the wiring easier and to give it a cool new look.
Suspension & Underside:
I got the rearend dropped out of the car and next is the gas tank. Then I'm going to degrease the entire underside and take it down to bare metal and put a few nice coats of undercoating on it. The main issue was once I pulled the rearend I found that ALL my bushings were worn out to the point were they all fell apart. I had planned on replacing them anyway but I was amazed that I didnt have a major problem when I put the new motor in. O well I am hopefully going to be ordering the new rear suspension for the car right after christmas and then get it mounted back up.
Engine:
The current motor is coming out of the car this weekend and I am going to get started on cleaning the engine bay up and fixxing some rust and filling some wholes. The plans are to pick up a 5.3L long block after the first of the year and then get the motor and trans in the car by the middle or end of February with the wiring mostly completed.
Thats pretty much it for now but I am going to try and keep up with the updates as much as I can. And of course I'll post up tons of pics for ya'll too! Here are just a couple shots I took with my cell phone. I'll get some more pics tonight and get them up tmrw.
