I do have a question for anyone that has done a 4th gen center console in a 3rd gen.

I have a manual console is there any difference in them from the automatics?

Also is there an aftermarket shifter that will work without problems in the 4th gen console?

Like the Megashifter in the 3rd gen console.

Also would like to know how hard is it to swap over power window setup in a non power window door?

I have the original doors on the car and a set of 87 TA doors with power windows, I thought it might be easier to switch the power window set up over instead of the doors, body work is not cheap and neither is paint..

well worked out in the polebarn and got it cleaned and ready to really start major work on the cars today..

ok back to the work on the cars today, got the dog house off the firebird and getting ready to take the e-cables off the rearend and remove it for cleanup and installing posi, axles, paint and brakes.

Then going to start cleaning the engine compartment and undercarriage then some painting .

when batteries recharge I will post pics..

this has changed so many times from a budget build to other stuff, but is back to a budget build/as I can afford to do things to it. I am cleaning the rust and what not but cannot afford anything from Eastwood or POR 15 so I wanna clean it the best I can and spray it with Rustoleum paints which have always worked well for me. Do I need to make sure its as clean as possible or remove ALL the rust to get it to reseal and not spread anymore..

Mind you I will be changing the K member and engine in a few years and then I will be POR 15 or stripping and painting again.

been slacking ALOT lately .. DAMN life..

Anyways I have done very little but am starting to get motivated back into working on everything again, I did a test area on the rattle can paint and was happy with what it did, also picked up the NEW running 94 truck motor from a friend on another forum today, also picked up the DS fender, 91-92 DS headlight cover and third tailight piece.

So I am shooting to have everything cleaned and painted under the hood this month and set the engine and tranny in the car with exhaust hooked up, then will get the rear end back in.

took some pics today and will post tomorrow.. encouragement is all I need right now..

Got the whole underside of the car wire wheeled and the whole engine bay, I will be painting it all this weekend and get pics of it

could possibly be driven this year at this point of the game, wish me luck
