83 Firebird coming back to life

Ok small update-

Buick
pulling transmission,removing floor console, swapping out shifters,putting in the TR special tranny,moving switches and rewiring line lock-in the process today-

Firebird
Sandblasted a CRAP Load of stuff, painting it today, this coming week will be reinstalling the rearend and starting to re-assemble her..

93 Ford
Installed new grill, picked up new Brush gaurd (killer garage sale deal), blasted all the rusted areas near the seams, re welded all the seams, replaced lower cross beam, start to fab frame mounts this week, fixed 4x4 shift lever, fabbing up duals.

all this on my truck from two garage sales and used parts from work.. total cost-50 bucks

got my paint scheme down, fenders at body shop, rearend on its way here Sunday, wire wheeling the LCAs and painting everything thing I have thats ready, then in goes the exhaust, rearend, then trans mount and motor..

Since I blew the tranny in the Buick, I will be shelving it for the rest of the year, possibly going to do a frame up restore on it now..

ok ok ok I am slacking on the pics, but I hate trying to take them with my hands greasy and my wife is not much into cars and what not.. so gettign her to show enthusiasm on taking pics is NILL..lol

well in a nut shell if things get any worse at home I will be seperating from my wife, that could mean divorce and that could mean no more toys.
Things have gotten real bad in the past few weeks, in fact I have stopped working on everything including the car I was going to get for my daughter, I scrapped that idea today.

So not sure whats gonna happen, but will holler either way.

Tstone thanks for the offer, my tranny guy wants to check it out, he thinks my shifter is not set up for reverse pattern shifting maybe.. I have to check a few things and get it out to him, then we can see how it goes from there. He is a stand up guy and stands behind his work, so I am not worried about it..

right now I am trying to find calm time and my low back is KILLING me from everything and the stress so laying on my back is not what I wanna do right now to get the trans out, but I will keep you guys informed on how it goes..thanks again for the offer.


as for stress meds, well I have been on them for 3-4 years now and just recently changed prescriptions, the new ones make me get water logged daily cause I am so thirsty, but they work. In my profession though and where I work it is hard to drink that much.. long story that only makes me angry when I talk about it.

I have too much stress in my life and its rolled over to home, home is a HUGE factor too, but I am trying to keep that, so no matter what I do I get ticked off REALLY easy, so no one is talking to me, another problem.. Oh yeah did I mention I don't have INS either so I cannot go to a counselor or have tests done for minimal cost or free..

ok only good news I have is, I fixed my tranny issue in my Buick, the linkage was way off, a friend from work helped me do it and he has never done anything like it, so he had it all goofed..

Took it for a spin and shes running strong again.
I did get the painting done but nothing more, I am picking up my rearend in GR tomorrow since I am off till Monday.
