  • Head light motor ?

Would motors out of an 87 Fiero work on my 92 Firebird?

if i remember correctly, yes they do, cause i was mad that they don't interchange with 4th gens.

have you tried flipping the gear to the good side.. cause the motor only uses 1/2 of the gear.. flip the gear to the other side and your in like flint.

Gear is fine. Motor is shot which I think I caused when I pulled it apart. Cuse it worked before but didn't grab even though it looked to me like the gear was fine.

Did you try replacing the bushings in the motor first?
These go bad before the actual mechanism in the motor does. It's an $8 fix vs spending $$$ on a motor.

Motor don't even make noise. So it's dead. Probably fixable though, but I don't have the right tools to hold the little blocks back to slide the motor down around the copper wiring.

check electrical connections too, ive had problems on and off with my drivers side light being deader than a doornail, took it apart and the connectors were all corroded cleaned them and put it back together and it worked great. They other day it didnt work at first, im hoping they arent corroded again
