Why can't you put a radio in it? All you need is constant power, switched power and ground. Then run new speaker wires.

I have to find the original wires first for the radio. They have been cut and soddered many times so I haven't found the original color wires yet acording to the wiring diagram.

Anyway a radio is not on the top of my list of things to do. Thats at the bottom of the list. The engine is music to my ears anyway. I don't wont to drown out my engine.

Glad to see you are making progress and thanks for the pics. I dont envy you one bit. I also hated tearing into the TPI runners.

If I had a dollar for every time I did a R&R on a TPI...........

Put a little vasoline on the injector o-rings before re-assembly if you didn't know that already, it makes things slide together easier without the risk of shearing a o-ring.

Good luck with your project Jake.

Whats the best way to get off the tpi plenum and runner gaskests? They are as hard as concrete on this thing.

James, yeah I know about lubing the injector o-rings. I use regular engine oil though.

Razor blade for the gaskets......vasoline works better than motor oil cause it doesn't run off.

Yeah I am using a razer blade right now. I have got the plenum and runners cleaned off. I am just working on getting the intake side cleaned off. Iv'e just got a limited amount of manuvering room on the intake. That and I have to scrape paint off as well. It looks like when The guy swaped motors he painted the tpi setup and intake. He painted all of it and then put the gaskets on them.

To get the fuel rail off. You can't pull the plenum and runners off as one piece because some of the bolts holding the runners onto the intake are on the inside underneath the plenum.

Iv'e got the gasket surfaces cleaned off and am now beginning the reasembly.
