How to replace/Patch a rusty wheel well

My left front wheel well is rusting around the strut tower. As far as I have been able to find there is no replacement part the anyone makes. My question is how do you replace or patch a wheel well?

Im' assuming your talking about the rear quarter by the hatch compartment?

No the left front. Its starting to rust around the strut tower. Need to fix this. I really don't need a strut shooting through my hood.

Left FRONT by the STRUT TOWER, would be driver front, under the hood, I have no idea how you would fix that, I cirtianly dont think you could replace it as its part of the unibody.

There is already a hole about 4 inches behind the strut tower. The rust around the strut tower is not through yet but it is flexing.



Here is the picture I took of it over the summer.
Note that only a small part of the wheel well is rusty. I think it is still fixable. I am not going to junk this car. I just need to know whats the best way to fix it.

hmm, not good. I would maybe see if you could find a good car, cut that whole section and weld it into your car, it would be quite the undertaking though, and it would also screw with the allignment.

I would post a pic but my computer is blocking the link. There is already a hole about 4 inches behind the strut tower. Its about 4" by 4". The rust around the strut tower is not through yet but it is flexing.

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!! not good bud you need to find someone that has body experiance and clean the damaged area and see if they can weld a new piece in or the car is history, no joke my old 91-RS was like that guess where it's at right now

I'm no body man, but I will say, you need to figure out why that strut bearing is so far inboard!! I've never seen one that bad.

I know you told me that before too. But my main concern is to keep the strut from shooting through my hood.
