    If that's the case, i'll think of something. Thank you guys for calming me down. I'll start fixing that hack job by next week or so.

    So far, i've installed some of the rear suspension, and ls1 parking brake cables.

      Yeah, no need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

      More than structural integrity, I worry about not having a sealed layer of steel between me and the tank. I'm reminded of the 1st gen Mustangs (and their Falcon predecessors) who had a tank that dropped in through a hole in the trunk, making the top of the tank your trunk floor. Clever for weight and cost savings, lousy for safety. If ruptured in a rear end accident, liquid fuel could (and did in some cases) pour into the interior of the car, finding the rear seat back cushion and decorative cardboard wall that functioned as trunk trim to be no match for the flammable liquid.
