What kind of gains do you see out of aluminum drive shafts?

on the fourth gen v6s, we see at the 1/4 mile track about a .2 drop in times from switching our stock 2piece units out for an alum one

If it's an automatic you will probably never feel the difference....however, if it's a stick you can feel it.....at least I could. The car never felt any faster, it just felt different going into gear when releasing the clutch.

ive never been able to make a side by side comparison, but all the weight cut has to make powershifting more effective

Less weight = less rotating mass = a little more potential HP freed up. It all adds up.

Personally, gonna be a long time before I can justify the cost of one.

That is one of the reasons I chose not to buy 17 inch wheels.(V6s are slow enough) I've heard you will usually drop .1 by switching from a steel DS to Aluminum. For $100 to drop .1 is a good buy in my opnion.

I did the switch, but I haven't been able to go back to the track to confirm that it is faster.
