  • Second Gen with flush mount door handles

This is probably a long shot but I saw the car 2 summers ago at the 28th St Metro Cruise. Silver Second Gen Firebird/Trans Am with body colored flush mount door handles. I am wanting to do the same to me car. I am tired of breaking door handles and muffing up the paint on the doors.....
    Does anyone know the car?????

To answer your question, no I havent seen the cars your talking about. However I thought about doing flush handles on my 3rd gen, its easy to do, I looked at using 98 grand am for a square look, or even the newer grand ams or malibu's for a sleek rounder look. Just make sure to leave room around the handle of the car your cutting from, making it easier to place and adjust it to fit on your car.

I was hoping the guy might be on the board and I could pick his brain as to what handles he used and if there was any issues with the internal linkage.....

if you stick with a GM handle, the internal linkage should work, may need to make an adjustment here or there but shouldnt be much.
