I'm suprised it even ran with that junk in there. I've changed the oil twice since I got it out, and I don't think I put 4,000 miles on it. The oil was always clean, but that's b/c all the shit was stuck up top I guess.
And to think I bought the car from a mechanic.

I've seen it before, they get tired of working on cars so they don't keep up their own stuff. Not all of them, but some.Originally posted by MrMojoRisin681I'm suprised it even ran with that junk in there. Yep, A close friend of mine and I used to work on cars on the side for extra cash. We got quite good at it. I was asked by a few people why I/we didn't do it for a living. And the reason has always been cause it would ruin my hobby, and while I was working on cars during that time, it did turn me off from working on my own stuff except out of necessity.Originally posted by wezelesevery mech's car ive bought was a lemon... tools all over the engine bay, half way fixed... just enough to keep it running... no one likes to take there work home

that is fricken TERRIBLE!!! how many miles? That just looks abused, my god! Clean er up, burn it out, something lol!
I have a pic of my intake off my old LT1 with 130,000 mi on it, looked brand new, the guy was anal about oil changes every 3000! He was also anal about car washes too, so it kinda ruined the clear coat

It has under 120k on it. The bores aren't that bad, just the top end. Hot tanking it would prolly be the best for it. I'm gonna try cleaning it up some later today.
