  • 1100 Mile '70 Z

A friend to many of the WMCC out in Cali has purchased a '70 Z.
One owner, 1100 miles, parked in heated/cooled storage since 1973 and will likely become the new benchmark for original survivor 2nd gens.
    Congrats to him !!!!

thats what I was thinking, only the deep pocketed may be interested in a car like that.

Is he going to drive it, or park it?

Can't drive it...all the rubber components would be shot within 20 miles, and they're only original once...I don't think I'd even try to start it.

            It's a museum piece now.

Would be interesting to hear what it took to acquire it...

Wonder what it would have fetched on something like Barret Jackson. Seems like this could be worth more than pretty much everything besides factory COPO cars, or that z28 hemi thing.

Agreed - and it's definitely something that deserves to be put into a temperature controlled storage facility after taking MASSIVE amounts of pictures of every square inch, angle, and part of that car. Like others said, it's the bench mark of what anyone trying to restore a 1970 to original condition can use as reference. That gives it a hell of a lot of value right there alone.

That '70 looks pristine! My favorite Camaro body style of all time...the split bumper and everything on it...

Cool, great find, but I couldn't buy a car like that and not drive a little here and there, just doesn't seem right.
