Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
my plan long term is to start an engine shop and do custom packages and installs. Although now with the crate engine business the way it is it might be just an install business. IDK.
My 99 handles great, but I'm hear to tell ya, that 80 2nd gen can hug a corner very well. Its a great car. I miss the rumble that thing had. whole damn car shook at idle, he he he
At a stop light, not in a race. My ass would be dead in a race against a BBC 2nd gen. lol
Which one is it? In a race or not? lol. Mine just had a sbc. I'd run you with it. Did I mention it has 4.10 gears in it? when I get it back together I'll run ls1 cars.
No, I mean the 2nd gen has an awesome front end design, When you are in front of one at a stop light, and you just notice it behind you, it scares the hell out of you.

Well, just remember there are 2 front ends for the 2nd gen too. the early 70-73 were different than the 74-81. Personally, if I ever find a 70-73 in good shape for a good price, I'll sell my 80 to get it. I love the 70-73 2nd gens!!!!
I really liked the split-bumper design. That was a really nice look for the camaro. I wish GM would have used more design cues from the 2nd gen camaro in the 3rd and 4th gens. They would look pretty badass!

Yeah, there are some, just not super obvious, but if you look at the late 2nd gens (78-81) you can see it in the early 3rd gens I think. The taillights, the pointy nose. Would have liked to seen more of it in the 5th gen concept too, but I better not get started on that wanna be car.
There used to be a bad ass 71 down the street it was orange with pearl white stripes and was a Z28 clone. They wanted $3500 for it, damnit I should have bought it to accompany my T/A.
keep up on the project, looking good so far.
I know way to much about how time slips by on these,an then you get bored with one,and get another to do,
but then they all sit!!!
my '80 been sitting for a few years now too,an my nova as well.
