That's pretty low miles. I'd pursue this

I have to go along with the crowd ,do the 6. You need a donor car to do the ls swap. Well, it really makes it easier if you have a donor. Theres just too much stuff you need to do it right without a donor.

Two sets of 98 LS heads. Just want them out of the garage. Make offers.

One set has about 5k miles on them, bought them from Mike (Formula Z) and the other is unknown. Only one set of valve covers, no coils.

Thanks, I have offers of $600 and $700 for complete 00-02 LS1. Not saying yours isn't worth it, but if I can get it that cheap good those years (easier swap) I'd be crazy not to.

If you want to bastardize it, I have a complete LT1 with K-member, steering rack, brakes, most accessories, wiring, gauges etc. Of course it also has a rod issue, but nowhere near as bad as yours and it can be rebuilt. It's already torn apart so you would just need a transmission.

Because you didn't have enough options to think about already.

Keep the V6. If you go to an ls engine you need to factor in a new trans, and everything else you might be missing. Find a donor car or just find another 3.8.

In your poll, the following statement does not lend itself support to swap in an lsx engine; "would take me years."

Sell the car as-is or swap in a new 3.8
