Why in the hell would you want to use a LT1 top end?
The heads fully ported only flow ~300cfm.
SBC 23* heads can flow 300 out of the box. Over 400 with porting.
Or You could run 12* heads and make crazy power, or 13* or 18*.
Depends how deep your pockets are.

There are far better options than a LT1 intake. Such as a single plane intake.

Are you going to be one of those "LS boys" or a "SBC boy"?!?!?!?

ls3 if u got the money ls2 u can find cheap sometimes
they hold good power stock bottom end 600rwhp roughly
LS cars seem to be better for street cars IMO
old school motors with carbs are a pain to daily and get even halfway decent mpg... * i know whos worried about mpg but just sayin modern motors put more power with more mpg

turbo 5.3 is a sick build but most people get excited on the power of them and max them out lol.

1994 cummins turbo diesel 1million+ miles!! (rip dad)*my fathers old truck hell of a mechanic!

The idea was to build a bigger-than-usual-ci LT1 (actually would probably go for a high-revving 377), but i'd go SBC before LS1 with this car. I like the LS series, just not putting one in this car.

Did he use a bigger bore size to manage that? Thats what im interested in because thats what works well on a road course. Strokers tend to make a lot of heat in comparison.
