Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I have a quick question... I find it odd that I can run fro like ten minutes.. or a few hours and my temp guage never goes above like 180 and I do have a 160 stat.. which I figure is good.. but yet I can turn it of and let it sit for like 2 hours after a 3 minute ride home and lift the hood and I cant even place my hand on the valve covers or the throttle body or the intake for more then 2 seconds with out getting burned !!!!! but yes I can grab the headers and there is no heat ??? the block is warm as well and the csr water pump.. this soo isn't right
Theres nothing wrong with a warm engine after driving?
the reason your headers are cool to the touch after sitting for so long is the thickness of the steel. They are relatively thing and hollow so they will cool the fastest. whereas your intake manifold/valve covers will stay warm because theyre conducting off of the warm engine block, and your intake manifold is almost solid aluminum. Id say your fine. if youre worried about water temps get an auxiliary gauge and hook it up.
