    replace. even if you heat (and remove) them there still could be damage inside. 40-50 bucks at oreillys + a core. just did mines for new (drilled and slotted) rotor install. its piece of mind and a piece of cake.

        I haven't had a chance to replace them yet... I'm going to take them off next week. I'll screw around with them off the car but in the end, I'll likely replace both sides.

                Going thru this with mine right now. Used a socket meant for rounded off bolts, worked great. (turbo sockets is the slang name I use for them). Quick trip to the store in the morning for fresh screws and should be good to go.

                The way the screw points straight up rather than sideways allows stuff to sit right in the treads, the plastic cover/collar seals it in, rather than out. Add in galvanic corrosion (aluminum caliper, steel screw) and you've got a mess...
                1991 Firebird 305 TBI w/LT1 cam. Swapped in a 5-speed and 3.27 BW disc. Some assembly was required!
