This is an LT1? Are you set on 400?
I'm sure you'll be happy with a little less. The LE and AI kits are becoming very popular and will probably net you 350-360 without getting into pricey heads. It's just tough to get those numbers through the automatics. JoeliusZ28 has one of these builds but with a M6. meissen has a mild 355 that makes about 325 I think.2000 Trans Am l 1967 Firebird

If you even get close to 350+ HP at the rear wheel your going to have to consider rebuild on the rear end. I don't think stock rear would hold the HP especially with 220,000 miles on the clock.sigpic

nonsense!Originally posted by gasman View PostLol thanks for the offer but mine has t-tops and is an auto. ... lol cant drive a m6 that well ill end up needing a new clutch by time I got it home ...
How much coin are you looking to drop? It may not smoke now but when you start driving it like it should be driven you'll have issues. My advice, do it right the first time. Call lloyd elliott or advance induction. Tell them your goals.
Get ahold of a reputable machine shop. Expect to pay 800-1400 for a nice stock (.030 rebuild on your bottom end. You'll need new rings and pistons, bearings, cam, freeze plugs, arp rod and main bolts etc.
At that power level you will probably be close to maxing out your stock injectors. Also is it a stock fuel pump?
Things just keep adding up. Plus the while you're in there stuff. Oil pump, White spring mod, starter, rack, also Suspension.
You have my number feel free to text me any questions. I'm far from an expert but...
not trying to discourage you just trying to help you know what to expect cost wise.
