  • Terrible window gap.

My 4th gen formula had got 1/2" gaps between the glass and the pillar, is this a common issue? And does anyone know of a fix? Only thing I can thing is that maybe the window motors are worn out or bent and its not going all the way up. My car doesnt have door panels and with the car parked in the rain there is a shit ton of water coming in the doors. It looks like it goes aright past the rubber between the window and outside door and is dripping off the bottom the glass. A LOT of water lol. Like puddle inside the door! They drain out and only a little gets inside the car, but still can't be good. I don't drive the car in the rain much but I do get caught out in the rain sometimes and I'd rather not have to worry about this stuff. Any help guys??

The door Is closed tight in this pic, I opened it and slammed it because I thought maybe it just wasn't, didn't help.

Whats it look like at the top?

Did you close the door by the window a lot?
The windows angle towards the body.
So maybe the track is bent.

    Is the door gap fine?

Door gap seems fine, it all looks normal from the outside till you look at the right angle and realize you can see right inside. I very rarely have the windows up because it gets so damn hot in the car. The windows to rattle like a mofo if they are not all the way up, I just assumed that was probably because the door panel isn't there to hold them.

Im thinking its a hinge problem. Your door looks like its open to much. Ill snap a pic of my door.

A little low in front too.

This is with the door unlatched, it does sag a little.

Passenger side doesn't line up for shit.

i wonder if the latch in my door needs to be adjusted so that the door is pulled tighter to the car when closed? it seems to line up fine at the top other than that little gap at the very front but is all out of whack in the back.

if my window is half way down the window wiggles around a ton, enough that i either put it all the way up or down because it makes a ton a noise.

To me it looks like the rear of the door needs to be pulled in more towards the interior. Like the latch is out to far and needs to be adjusted in.

But looking at my latch you can't adjust it. So its gotta be something with the hinge.

Its your regulator. One of your knobs came out of the track. If you pull your panel off and look around you'll see it. Your hinges would have to be really messed up to be that far off.

Winner winner chicken dinner. I had a similar thing happen to me on my black car. Got the knob/track delt with and it was back to normal.

Be careful with the knobs, they are a SOB to find. (we made our own)
