95 trans am LT1 once warmed up has very slight tick or knock im not sure but its so quiet u can not here it unless you know its there... Its also louder when the hood is closed and i stand next to the car.... And also only does it when u give it a rev inbetween 1500 and 2200 rpm then goes away after that or at idel .... Runs great good oil pressure are LT1s just not sound engines and im just paranoid?

With headers the plug wires like to burn, so then it arcs to the header making a ticking sound, obviously not your problem.
You can still have good oil pressure with a lifter tick.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. I need to get one of thosesigpicOriginally posted by ryanwarby01Put it this way, if you have a money tree a LT1 is a wood chipper!

Usually lifters tick when its cold not warm. Its usually the sound of them trying to pump up which is what causes the tick.
How many miles are on the car?
If you don't have a stethoscope, use a flathead screwdriver, put it against the valve covers and your ear against the handle, see if you can pin point where its coming from.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. If you can hear it through the valve covers, might be a good idea to pull the valve covers for a look.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. I need to get one of thosesigpicOriginally posted by ryanwarby01Put it this way, if you have a money tree a LT1 is a wood chipper!

Well knowing if your engine is sound will allow you to decide where to go next.
Such as should I put the bottle on it, or save up for a rebuild ect.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. I need to get one of thosesigpicOriginally posted by ryanwarby01Put it this way, if you have a money tree a LT1 is a wood chipper!
