1993 camaro z28 project thread

been wanting to start a project thread on my car since i bought it,

so you guys will have to play alittle catch up as ive made a few changes since i bought the car,


unfortunatly i dont have pics of the car the day i bought it anymore, they were lost on an old phone,

but i bought it with badly dented quaterpanels, a ugly sagging headliner, ugly ripped seats, stained nasty carpet, dirty filthy engine bay, missing lights, things not working, bad window motors, non working power locks (still dont work????). turn signal indicator lit up when lights are on (still doing that) but flashes normall?? bad alternator, bad drive belt, fans on a badly placed toggle switch, missing factory foglight and had ugly non working aftermarkets in there place had a badly faded fender and bumper

but the good things about the car were, factory console lid wasnt broken, absolutly great oil pressure, drove well, stopped on a dime, and would outrun the word of god himself.


so far ive done the following
replaced the seats
new drive belt
new alt
new 52mm bbk TB
new aluminum intake elbow
ebay cold air ( i know i know lol)
put a cyl head cam into the cyl to prove it was bored 0.030 over (it is)
replaced the seats
ripped out the headliner
popped out and worked the dents as best i could
painted the fender
painted the bumper
picked up some gtp injectors (8)
had the car retuned
replaced the shifting inticator
got a trans am shift knob on it
new brakes
new heater core and coolant system flush
new opti
new water pump
new factory fogs
and alot more

ill be posting pics as i go along

soon to happen is
Strut tower brace
suspension upgrades
LCA's
paint and body
install a custom billet grille im making
zr1s
ss hood
ss spoiler
6 speed swap
cc306
headers
150mph speedo (s rated 115 currently)

i know i hav alot of breams but the way i see it, go big or go home

No that's just the water running down it. Worst car wash I've ever been to. Got home and had to wipe the dry frozenoap off the car with a wet rag.

Believe me I know, I can't stand the stock wheels. Grey zr1s would really set this car off, or maybe some chrome c6 rims.

Hahaha me too. Sucks though cause as of right now the stupid opticrap is going out again I think. Went thru some slush of snow and I think it got in the opti, so its backfiring and has no balls. Spark knocks on a rev from idle and even.cranks hard as hell on a cold start

So I have a question. Just for shits and giggles, would a trans am hatch fit on a camaro
And the sides like up with the quarters?

It doesnt seem like it would. But I'm thinking about doing something custom with it and molding the high rise hatch i have look like it belongs
On my camaro.

Of course that's if it doesn't sell soon.

Wanting to make my own more in depth transmaro of sorts. Everyone does the front end. Cause its easy. But I want to try it the hardway
