My rotors are warped, so one of my expenses this year will be new rotors, pads, SS flex lines, and fluid flush. I'm kind of leery on picking up crossdrilled rotors, although they do look cool. I am not as opposed to slotted rotors, and am leaning most heavily toward solid blanks.
I am not sure which way to go - the car will be 100% streetcar with the occasional "I'm gonna be an idiot" runs and stops. The options I am weighing are:
1) StopTech Package - $525. E-coated, drilled/slotted rotors. StopTech pads. Would include stoptech braided SS lines. Stoptech use Centric blanks
2) Centric Package - $450. Basically, same package as the StopTech, but $75 and blank "flat-faced" rotors. StopTech pads
3) PowerStop - $405. Silver zinc plated, drilled/slotted rotors. Would include stoptech braided SS lines. Z16 ceramic pads
4) Brakemotive - $285. Silver zinc plated, drilled/slotted rotors. Would include stoptech braided SS lines. Z16 ceramic pads. Research indicates these are PowerStop blanks, possibly identical rotors. Potentially could save an additional $10-$20 by asking for "flat-faced" blanks.
Anyone been running these for a while? I am really leaning towards options 2 or 4. The pricing on the Brakemotives makes me a little nervous - just seems cheap - but they get rave reviews everywhere I look. Anyone have long-term experience with the Brakemotive package?
