Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

What are you guys using?
im looking for a pretty in depth program to fine tune my 97 LT1 with? Im starting to think its going to save a lot of money/ be much more convenient when i start swapping trans and making her run on corn juice
I used LT1edit on my first LT car and really liked it. But I recently talked to Ed Wright and he said he prefers Tunercat and recommended I get that for my 383 project. Ed knows more about this than I do so I'm going with Tunercat. Tunercat is also cheaper up front than LT1edit. Also I'm not 100% sure on this but I don't think Tunercat is VIN specific and LT1edit is.
When you say nice, what exactly do you mean? i want to make sure whatever i get has the ability to datalog via laptop and tune nearly EVERY single PCM controlled file.
By nice I mean it was user friendly once I got the hang of it, and it was fairly simple to understand. Having said that I will say the car I used it on was only a bolt on car, so I didn't need to get into it very far to get what I needed out of it.
But if it is data logging you want to know about I'd go with Datamaster hands down, easy to use and records everything.
Actually I just checked the website and LT1edit does have a version for 96/97 cars. Looks like Tunercat is just OBD I. Not sure if HPTuners works with LT cars or not.
Too be honest with you and to cover all your bases you may want to sign up for, look at LTX.tech website. There is a ton of knowledge over there on LT's. I'm over there under the same user name.
