94 z28 lt1 i have a high idle (idles around 1300 rpm) my oil pressure gauge not workin and my lifters have a little more noise then wat they should. i did a cam swap while ago oil pressure gauge was workin b4 i took everything apart but it still had a high idle. got the new comp cam306 in the car sent my pcm out to sb tunning. got that back put it in the car. took the car (not running) to a shop to adjust the cars lifters the rite way. they went to start the car wouldnt start ruled out bad fuel pump. trailed the car back home changed the pump and it started up and now my oil pressure gauge not workin and my lifters seem loss, can they be adjusted more while the car is running? any ideas?

The lifters just may need to be pumped up(with oil)...did you soak the lifters in oil before you installed them back into the engine?Double check and make sure you plugged the connector back in on the oil pressure sender(located behind the intake on the driver side)It could be possible that it was broke durring the removal or installation of the intake,they cost 25.00 new.They can be adjusted while the engine is running but,it will be messy..I like doing them with the engine off...Pm me or post your email here and I will send you a copy of the procedure that I have been using for 20yrs,never had a problem...Last edited by my1994z28; July 15th, 2012, 10:51 PM.Comment
