I actually have a 5.3 sitting on the stand that is going to rebuilt next week...its really up in the air of the direction I am going with this car...3.8 with heads and cam??or maybe bore out the 5.3 and turbo...

Built 3.8's are pretty unique. I wouldnt bother boring the 5.3, Id just put a quality piston in it, maybe rod bolts, then give it hell.

Or build the 3.8L and buy Huron Speeds' turbo kit. All you'd need to modify his LS kit for the 3.8L is the truck manifolds right?

I vote you keep the L36. I was part of the W-Body community from 2001 to 2007, loved my 3.8L Prix! Not sure how much they have for the F-Body, but ZZPerformance our of Grand Rapids had a lot of great stuff for the W-Body L36.

Probaby wouldnt take much for jonny to modify his kit and produce it. Hell that would make one fun ass daily driver...

Daily? That has the potential to be a bad ass go fast car. Put a nice bottom end in it and crank the boost!

I think id have more fun with a conservative setup that was good at surprising people all while getting some pretty good MPG.

Oh,I am going to have alot of questions on the body repair aspect of this build..lol....it has a small amount of rust in front of the driverside rear tire and under the hood, the driver side shock tower..other than those places the car is solid...
