Alright, I found that Shbox says it's 5mm. Is there such a thing as metric fittings?

5mm is Basicly 3/16. They are 10mm 1.0 bubble flare.

          So it's closer to 3/16 then 1/4?

I got some 1/4 double flare fittings and a union. I got a new owm line that was cut for what ever reason and put it on my car.
But it leaks out of the back of one of the fittings like it was too loose. I'll try 3/16 tomorrow.

brakes.jpgThat is what I am working with.

It is no longer leaking. Pedal drops to floor and red Brake light comes on in dash.

So there 7/16 fittings then. That's most common for 1/4 line.

If a line will leak at a fitting, it could just as easily leak at the ABS fitting or rear end fitting.

Also, they don't list anything for a 4th gen.

I bled them three times following the service manual for 1996 f bodies.

                      They work well now.
The first time bleeding there was not much air, second time a few big gurgles came out. And once more just to be sure.
