  • Anyone in the Troy/Rochester area able to lend a hand or give an opinion?

Im at 18 n john r, i tore my intake off my car again because it was leakin oil so i guess i didnt seal it right in the rear, pulled intake off last monday now just got it all put back together today. First start was rough n didnt want to idle. after playin around with some things it started and idled but was rough, i assumed it was somethin with the MAF since i didnt have the intake tube on all the way. ended up gettin the car to start and idled without the rubber intake tube on it, took it around the block and all. get home put the tube back on and it once it was all plugged up it was idling a bit rough so i figured id unplug the battery for a few n see if itd reset. i hook the battery up and now it just cranks and cranks. ughhhhh. im goin out of my mind and am really frustrated. if anyone could come by n take a look itd be greatly appreciated!!!!

was the plug dry? Do you smell fuel from the cylinder with the removed plug when you crank it?

The only thing that changed between it idling rough and not starting at all was unplugging the battery? I'd be looking at the battery. Is it a slow crank like the battery is almost dead? are you sure you have good connections for the ground?

Have you tried giving it any throttle at all when you're cranking?
