Would be interested to see how it sounds. I'm still running with my 2.25" Magnaflow catback

Keep in mind john, when dumping exhaust under the car instead of behind it sounds a LOT louder in the car than it otherwise would. Kolins car for example with a loudmouth could probably be heard a mile away (louder than any td setup ive heard) but with tailpipes it wasnt that bad in the car. Duals will always resonate. But they are loud like we said. I know my car doesnt make many friends in the quieter neighborhoods even at an idle.

Duals are loud yes. I think you'll learn that anything other than a stock catback is going to be loud on a cammed car with longtubes.

You could try adding minicats or also cutouts... When closed they function as mufflers.

LOL @ you thinking duals dumped before the axle were not going to be loud.. if you dont want to be loud dont even think about duals

Full-sized magnaflows are about the only thing that's going to be reasonable in a dual 3" dumped setup. I still think 2.5" mufflers make a big difference when doing true duals as far as loudness, but it's still gonna be pretty loud with bullets.

My dad has an 82 Corvette with 3" dual exhaust and no crossover, but it necks down right at the muffler and has 2.5" full-size magnaflow mufflers. Lose little to no power over the dual 3" cutouts and really it's fairly quiet even outside the car despite a 236/242 cam in a 350 sbc.

Aerochambers are on the quieter side too

In comparison, I think Joel's and Kolin's cars both sound amazing with their setups. I wouldn't consider theirs obnoxiously loud from what I could tell when we were out on Woodward.

I dont know about that. I think its just a different kind of loud. Ive had many people claim they heard me well over a quarter mile away.

yeah ive been told i was heard almost a mile away when i had duals on the 383.. it may be a different kind of loud. but i would bet straight through mufflers are louder then your chambered ones

Lets get a car with straight thrus and find out then, ive got a db meter. I think they are the same. The quarter mile away wasnt even full throttle just a normal takeoff.

I expected loud, not to the point where the sound is vibrating my mirrors though.

I will probably end up keeing them and fixing my y pipe setup just in case.

I have gotten used to them little by little today
