    No crossover for sound!

IMO one advantage gen 1 and LT1 engine are they sounds better than LS motors due to the firing order.

I used a Jegs universal x pipe, dougs cut outs, and bullets on my 84. Sounds great. And it wasnt hard at all to make, Tucks up nicely.

Also x pipe for the sound alone is worth it. I hade true duals with flowmasters before, and its sounded ok, but nothing compared to the x pipe.

Also using a summit universal on my dads 70 Challenger, they work awsome.

                    Is it extremely loud?

I want something that still allows you to be able to talk inside the car, however, what I have now is too restrcitive and I feel I could be leaving a lot on the table

Bullets on anything is Gunna be loud trust me. Got my fair share of exhaust tickets with it. I would look into some tailpipes otherwise it's Gunna be loud. Depends where you live I guess.

I'm not worried about the police as much as I am not wanting to drive my car.

I want loud, just not where all I can hear is drone

Run tail pipes then. Makes a huge difference vs dumping under the car, but it will also sound a bit different from both perspectives.

In my experience, running it as far back as possible and not using turn-downs is better than dumping it under the rear seats for resonance. Even better, like Joel said, run tailpipes. I've had duals in all ways and out the back with tailpipes is definitely the most tolerable inside the car, but doesn't have the "dumped" sound.

Honestly, and I know you won't want to hear this... if you're going to dump it with bullets I'd run 2.5" and not use turn downs. I thought that was the next most tolerable after out the back 2.5" and IMO wasn't bad at all. Dumped 3" is LOUD with bullets.

I'll also say, even out the back, it's LOUD outside the car if using only bullets. The only difference the routing will make is for interior noise/resonance. Back in the day I ran a single 4" over the axle that split into dual 3" bullets and tailpipes. It was much quieter in the car and I thought my problems were solved vs. 3" duals dumped. That was until I was in downtown Plymouth and some kid walked up and complimented my car and told me he could hear me coming like 2 minutes before I actually drove by him, lol.

I only had drone under 2200. Wasn't bad at all I didn't run an x tho. I deff loved tho way it sounded. Had nice deep sound.

Got millions of compliments on it. Personally driving down the highway wasn't bad at all. I won't be unhappy trust me.
