U need to measure for ur new pushrod length after u get the new cam in. Also i bought some ls7 lifters for a good price from scoggin dickey parts, i also used the trickflow pushrods. Remember to budget alot more than initially calculated. I was way over my budget by the time i was done- 2012 Mustang GT 5.0 - M6 / Brembo Package / 3.73 / Bama Tune / Catless X / Corsa Xtreme /

my car only has 92k but I still felt that I should replace the lifters. Yeah they probably would have been fine but since I was in there I figured why not replace. I believe the ones I got were PN 12499225, like $120, but Its your money and your car so...- 2012 Mustang GT 5.0 - M6 / Brembo Package / 3.73 / Bama Tune / Catless X / Corsa Xtreme /

With your mileage you will need them. They more than likely wont handle the new springs.
not surprized. some live some dont. your not really what i consider to be lucky but, more fortunate than others. iv seen them live to.Originally posted by MunsterZ28 View Postkinda funny mine has done fine with same old lifters and it has 132x when i didn my swap

good advice on the lifters, I had one go bad in my stock LT1 with 115,000 miles luckly I was in my drive way when it went and spit the push rod so no real damage. If I were doing what your planning I would drop the engine, and k frame. It takes about 4-6 hours to drop engine trans combo out the bottom, you WILL waste more than that working around everything with the engine in the car. To drop the pan to change the oil pump and install the white spring you will have to atleast drop the k frame.
I would also add 1. new oil pump and white spring. 2. New timing chain. 3.New LS7 lifters. 4. while your at it I would install new moter mounts too. Its better to be safe than sorry later, and yes some peeps here got by by not doing those but you never know if your the lucky one till later!sigpic
