Bringing the fireturd home, Uhaul wont let me use a car dolly because the "approach is too low"

    1. engine is out
    2 front bumper is off

does anyone know if this will work for sure or not?

never towed anything but a pup trailer (4'x6') and the flat bed is a bit intimidating to me

lie and get a tow dolly, I just did that last weekend. Tell them you are towing a 1997 Grand Am 4 cylinder like I did, pay the lady and go get your car. Its really easy just dont try to back one of those uhaul dollies up unless its the locking type. or the car will go one way while the dolly goes another. Just push it off the dolly and into your driveway or garage, easy as pie.

only problem i had with a dolly is that my front scrap guard bottomed out on the dolly, didnt have the front bumper on. and make sure to center it perfectly. when i got mine on, i did a couple sharp turns to make sure it wouldnt hit the wheel wells of the dolly. it would of if i kept turning. i pulled it off the dolly, and towed it with a strap around the front bumper and towed it with my truck.

yeah its not bad, I bought it 3-4 years ago when I did all that work on my other car and needed a winter DD, she runs good and looks decent. I wouldnt have a blazer without the 4.3 vortec, this is my second one. This is the 3rd car now that I have towed with it and it has always done a great job even with those tow dollies.

I also used a dolly for my old 95 v6, i told em it was a cavalier and had no problem. Other than the snowstorm that started a half hour after i got the trailer!

What does it matter to U haul what kind of vehicle is on the tow dolly ? They still get their money no matter what.

cause they are rated with weight limits...they dont want to get sued for letting someone use a dolly to tow a vehicle that shouldnt have been towed in the first place with a dolly, just my best guess or having the tow vehicle smaller then the vehicle being towed.
