Good idea Jeff! John should have something like that done by Summer 2012!

I am using stock motor mounts....I didn't want to risk transfering any vibration to the car with poly or solid.

About the elbow though that ***** will be a tight fit. I am really doubting even the edelbrock ultra low profile elbow I have on order will fit. ( I know it sucks but it wont be so bad pressurized I hope. Either way it is not max effort by anymeans if it costs me a couple hp to save hacking my car to death I guess I will live with it unless it is really horrible.

I am impressed how well my STS system is going on the car....literally no hacking....every part/bent fits like a glove and assures me that its sealing properly. I really thought it would be a nightmare but its very smooth so far .... I will post pictures tomorrow when I get the car a little higher in the air.

The problem with those low profile elbows isn't the fact it might cost you a few HP. Its about air distribution. Just because the AFR reading in your exhaust says 12:1 doesn't mean the front 4 arent 8:1 and the back 4 arent 15:1. Last thing you want to do is have a few holes go lean. Tolerances are tighter with a boosted motor than anything when your trying to keep stock parts alive.

did you buy an ls1 STS kit? i bought an lt1 kit, and tried to make it work for my ls1. took a lot of fabrication (which i'm not good at). my car is lowerd. i had to raise rear to stock ride height to not scrape all over the place.

After doing some research I have learned that an elbow on a boosted setup is not the cause of distribution problems, on a n/a or nitrous setup I would never run one but you should be fine on a turbo car. I am willing to bet an elbow to fit under that area is going to rob a good bit of horsepower in itself I'd say at least 50rwhp.

Damn you jeff don't tell me 50hp...ur going to make me chop my car apart.....if it is that bad I will have to weld one up over winter and just send this shit back.

I have a ls1 sts kit with the "750 "upgrade. .96 a/r and. 60 compressor. I will see how it does I am sure it will spool fast as hell. Just hoping I can get some rpm out of it.

I'm still just not getting why you didn't use a stock manifold guys have gone 8s on them they arent a restriction at that power level at all. Do some good research on low pro elbows they can be a huge restriction on the intake tract, buy one that is proven do not buy an ebay special

I may use the nitro daves elbow it looks most promising...I will be more than 8 psi I really don't want to hold it back with a shit elbow.

when you realize that the elbow wont fit and want to go to a ls6 intake let me know.. we could prob work out a trade between the two

edit... nvm i forgot your running L92's.. pretty sure the intake ports are different
