I know Ryan lol. 10 bolt is only in until tax time. I do not have enough cash to spend 2300$ + driveshaft and drag bar. That is why I am tuning it at 5 psi right now. I just wont touch my boost controller until my S60 is in.
As for wrapping I think that it looks hideous under the car. I am going to see how it runs un wrapped and if I have a spool issue (which I am not expecting) I will have to wrap them.
Only other thing I wanted to do was make another tailpipe reduce down off of that open wastegate so I can have 2 tailpipes out the back instead of this hillbilly looking single pipe that is on there now.
Also I hate the fiiler location. I know it will suck shit up. I would like to maybe extend it behind the bumper cover or make a cover/box for it from sheet metal or maybe even plastic if I can find some that looks decent. Anybody have any ideas how to protect it? Car wont see rain I just more the less want a dust cover.Last edited by r1cefed; December 4th, 2011, 08:49 AM.99ws6 - Huron Speed Turbo - PT67

There are covers for the filter that you can put around it. They're waterproof and everything, fairly cheap as well. As for exhaust wrap, it'll get torn up by the elements and rocks, unless you tie it every inch or so but those metal zip ties are expensive. I'd run it just like that, just keep the oil lines and everything as far from the heat as possible.Joe - ATM SQUADAt the shop, watching them build my car.

Sounds very good man...
So why an S60? I have also thought about an S60 and most everyone is saying they will ***** slap me if I go S60... Really curious what steered you that way.. Thanks!Last edited by OIF1VET; December 7th, 2011, 12:34 PM.sigpic

Thanks guys,
Joe, I have that filter skin and metal sheild as well but it still just seems like it will be constantly having shit thrown into it being where it is at. As for the heat wrap I could not agree with you more on it. It not only frays and looks like crap but if it somehow got soaked in oil it is begging to start a fire. I may try angling the filter way up or even making an extention pipe to get the filter behind the bumper cover or maybe make a sort of rubber or plastic flap to cover it. It is probably fine as is but it just worries me.
Larry, DTS was actualy the ones that suggested a s60 over a 9" due to the way the differentials work a S60 is better for street driving/cornering so they say. I know it is heavy as hell but with my car still being a M6 and me coming from a 10 bolt I would like to go overkill on the rear end for piece of mind. The other thing that attracted me to the s60 was floating hubs so if an axle were to break (which it probably wouldnt but "what if") The tire and broken axle would not come out and crash the car. The only thing that I would like more just for the cool factor would be a Moser m9 fabbed housing but I am not made of $$.99ws6 - Huron Speed Turbo - PT67
