  • Plug Wires

I've been chasing my tail all week trying to dial in my tune. The car would run great on one pull and horrible the next. Then the car started to miss (or at least miss bad enough that I really noticed). I was starting to think I bought bad gas until last night when I found this burned plug wire.

I put the stock style wires back on and the driveability instantly improved but the #4 boot is still touching the header. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I re-installed the metal factory boot protectors but they are not long enough to protect against my headers.

I had the same problem and bought these:

They work great and have held up really well. They sell these at Advance Auto and O'Reilly's too.

I use stock style wires, and let the header burn the wire a tiny bit, once it burned that little bit off its been fine ever since.

X2 although I don't even think they are burned much at all.

I've had the same problem... I made my own wires this time and none of them touch the headers...
