  • What is this bracket?

I was working on rear brakes on my car, and this fell out when I removed the pads. I have no idea what it is or what it's for. I tried looking at the other side for reference, but the other side didn't have it. What is it? And do I need it?0705111605.jpg

Hard to tell but it kind of looks like a clip to hold a brake line

looks like part of a anti-rattle clip for the brake pads

they did not. I guess I'll just install the new pads without it.
