  • Got a cam to go with my LT's

Picked up a used cam today. Futral Motorsports 226 degree intake and 230 exhaust (at .050 lift) and .575 lift. Got a good deal on it too, so that helps. So now I have to get a set of Comp 918 springs, new pushrods, and start turning the wrenches.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

I would look into some PAC 1518s, cheaper IIRC, and so far have a significantly better reputation than the 918s.....

Because duals aren't that much more.

With the aggressive ramp rates of the lobes used on these high lift cams springs can fatigue and break.

Its cheap insurance. Spend $100 now instead of buying a motor when your single spring drops a valve.

I've always had good luck with the Patriot Extreme dual spring kit. Those springs are about as dirt cheap as they come too, like $260 with all hardware

basically the same difference. only a few dollars more for the better springs

How soon do you need the springs? I will be selling my PAC 1518's with Ti retainers later this spring when I install my new heads. The springs have less than 3,000 miles on them.
