Thanks for fixing and the thumbs up! Please don't judge by cover (outside,as far she goes for now didn't add anything just the look of what was there) I have put lots of work into and lots of lil things that doesn't get noticed (unless another bird next to compare or real f-body fan)the more I look the more I like it and nothing is forever on this.A while back I had made different hood vents that would open with throttle (like injector plates) but didn't want to have stick so was going to electric motor but with shape and no elec.motor it was droppedPicture 010.jpgPicture 009.jpgthe new intake is for a c5 vette and had to be cut up to fit believe like 3in on each side and about same for inlet (can look up notes if need more info) also had to use 22degree elbow (also cutdown) to get over and back down radiator. Also you can here this thing sucking in air big time when you get on it (no not leaking lol) while I'm thinking of it who does polishing on here was it (superman) I ground down the weld and tried to polish but looks "milky" next to the polished radiator shroud and would like to get done b4 meet & greet or chromed

Always loved your engine bay, we have a lot of the same tweaks, but I've been VERY cautious not to make mine gaudy, I had a feeling you were going to head that direction, and you are sitting on a very fine line right now. There is just too much going on in too many places. At the end of the day though, its your car and whatever makes you happy will be the best.. If you really care that much what people say or about a stupid ride of the month deal on a website, you are going to end up a really really unhappy person (not to mention broke) if you keep trying to throw money at the car just to impress the naysayers ...

Love the cleanliness of your ride Rick but the stripes? Not working for me.... Gotta side with Derek and Jeff.

Ok, chalk me up as #4 on the list. I really like what you've done with most other areas of the car, just not feelin' the new stripe design.

Any plans for new wheels for the car? I think that would make the most difference.

Also, I agree with Derek - don't mod because of "us" - modify your car for what YOU like

Sorry if wrong impression with caring about awards or what people think? always appreciate honest input (as long as its kind)I was just shocked that I won and hadn't done much (just bay)I don't do many shows just lots of cruising so it was a honor since all f-bodies.(and as I found out the things I vote for don't always win)Well thats it for the outside but like said before built for me and always trying something hope stripes doesn't "wreck"it for anyone.Bay should be done this weekend just waiting on the mirrored ball to dangle from hood when opened lol.Yes wheels are on list just not in budget (15" weld rts) Still stop by at m&g and take a look might grow on ya!!(better in person)Thanks again for the good and bad !!!!! and no way am I making those center sections this is the first one and have to remake but mounted to work out any bugs.Had to bend plexi to shape and was all good till cleared and now see couple small stress cracks (from clear) was going to insert red transparent behind to make red but when close it has a hall effect (discovered by accident) and liked better.

Well did pretty good at M&G and want to THANK YOU ALL!!!! It means alot coming from other f-body owners.wonder if you got to take a close look when I wasn't around and what you thought of the "theme"(had some other people out and tried to get around) I was at car sometimes and was able to point out some of the work.what did you think of the handmade cover for hoodlatch area? I had someone taking pics and hope to get some up if you have any to put up that would be great also!!!Thanks again for the votes or just taking time to take a look and say Hi!!! I had slight problem with the lil 17# race battery that I hide under stock location near horn (custom bracket) and almost didn't make.Friday night ended up putting in "jump posts " in front air dam just in case but it held charge.

Rick I did not have a chance to see your car at M & G sorry. I like the detail on the stripes, and the lights in the air intake. You do know red is not legal in front of car, cops on woodward would pull you over for that. A suggestion would be to mount the light backwards in the opening and give more of a glow effect. I plan on doing that on my formy some day. I do like what you've done though.

Thanks Larry and I know you (and others was very busy)putting on show and what a great job!!!!.Would glow effect(way) be legal?(right now "glows " on engine with hood open)I have switch to turn on/off so mostly using when pulling in lots, etc. Just trying different things I know not for everyone but few people have liked some ideas. Right now I have cowl off to fix an area (smoothed and filled already)and changing lil bit. When I smoothed cowl I filled in "dummy" holes on drivers side painted screens silver and painted cowl gloss black (was always trying to keep old one glossy)now I'm making holes equal on each side. Also noticed the other night around dusk the stripes kinda blended with paint (getting dark out) and the chrome on stripes stood out which looked kinda neat.well back to work!!! heres pic of bay (cowl also) THANKS to ANDY !!!!!!!!!!!
