If you're making the system yourself try to merge the two air filters together smoothly as possible. Also try to get the MAF as far away from the Y as possible to allow the air to settle before going through the MAF. It's the same as the Y-pipe in the exhaust system except reverse the smoother the air merges the better it will flow. Since it would be just a show setup the power you lose really isn't an issue.

I say if you like mock something up and start testing it. Until you hit the dyno to really see if you're losing or gaining power it doesn't matter what people say. The only way to know if something works for your setup is to try. Most these aftermarket companies spend tons of time testing and changing the stuff they build to see positive results.

Good luck we will be waiting to see the mocked up setup...

Well been lil busy working on intake (bought kit for c5 vette and modified)ordered elbow and coupler should be in tuesday but taped it up for lil spin and thats what it wanted to do when I got on it.noticed on start up it seemed to breath better and throttle response was even better.logged file on hptuners and will have to look at.still have to get radiator shroud (bmr stainless steel) also working on 2nd stage to match up other side but this is my progress so far.

I think it looks good - it's different and not so common.

Thanks! Not saying for everyone or best way to go just trying to "customize" to set apart and to be different and its also not done.have my old dual/dual exhaust that will go on for next year (true dual over axle dual/dual tips) and now dual/dual intake and sits right behind hood openings (looks like made for it when hood partially down).
