Will the removable sidebar pass tech as long as it's clipped in while you're at the track?

if your trapping high enough to need harnesses, you need a cage.

I wasnt thinking of it as really needing it for speed but being easier then trying to track down ebony OEM seatbelts and seatbelt parts plus a black leather backseat etc etc

If your cheap enough you can make a cage out of anything that doesn't mean it is good for anything other then looks

are you talking swingout door bars on a rollbar or cage? at a drag strip with a cage(10pt) you can go 8.50's with them
my door bars are not legal (must pass between shoulder and elbow with hands on the wheel) but tech has never said anything to me about them

That's not what I'm asking, though - what I'm asking is if the removable sidebar swing outs or whatever passes tech or not.

Yep they are good to 8.50 cert is what I believe Larry is saying. I don't know what times they are good for but I know they are legal.

I'll probably go with a setup like NaNcY's. I'm not worried about tech anyway.

Brian look at Larry's (OF1VET) cage, he has those removable bars. Maybe he will post a pic in here.

keep in mind you lose rigidity with the removable bars. Thats alot of the reason I am doing a cage in the first place so removable bars aren't even something I am considering.
