Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
that black bar looks way to low to be safe. if the bar is too low spinal damage will occur from pulling down when you go forward in an accident

Yeah I am going with 4pt harness and I am very much aware of the angle that is why I want to put something in the car to mount the harnesses to. I am most likely going to be making my own bar but we will see.

And another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end. -Homer Simpson
I run the Brey Krause lap mounts so I clip my lap and sub belts in at the track and simply hide my over shoulder belts behind the seats when not at track! Use regular seat belts all the time...
yeah and 90% of the cops wont give you a ticket for it... at least none that i have talked to or when i got pulled over then never even said anything about it
Seems kinds dumb to me, Why would a 3 point regular seat belt be within the law but a safer 5 point wouldn't.
The Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.
Seems kinds dumb to me, Why would a 3 point regular seat belt be within the law but a safer 5 point wouldn't.
I don't know if this is the reason but with my 6 pt all strapped in, I cannot effing move! Backing out of the pits it is a CHORE to look over my shoulder when backing up, etc when my mirrors can't check. On the course I can use all of my mirrors so this isn't an issue, but checking my blindspots, paying tollbooths, collecting from drive-thrus, etc.... all damn near impossible!
I think I am probably going to skip on the side bar and just do a 4 point for now. Oh and thanks for the pics!
Thats what i have been wanting to do as well but everyone keeps talking me out of it in favor of a 6 point. I want to do my own cage though, so probably wont happen for a while.
The cage is a better idea then just a harness bar IMO.
Superman09 I love the harness bar in the Vette we've done a few of them at work for our Limited handling training vettes...
How are you guys bending your own tubing? The equipment to bend tubing isn't cheap and doing it manually is a PAIN... Funny thing is back in the day some of the hillbillies used to use exhaust tubing to make a FAKE cages. Wish I had the money buy the equipment to build my own parts at home. Thankfully I get learn and perfect my fabrication skills at work it's just too bad I can't use their equipment to make my own parts.
