        • todays work, the front end is about halfway back together

Ive come to realize my calipers have faded a bit over the last 4-5 years... that paint is the same color as used on the springs/shocks

                • Looking good! Any ideas why the caliper paint faded so quickly? I'm thinking heat probably played a big part.

I wouldnt say its faded quickly. Like i said thats 4-5 seasons including being road raced (aka that paint got cooked).

It still lookks red in person and fine behind a wheel. But its definitely faded some.

Did you put a clearcoat on the calipers? If not, that could play a role in the fading as well.

Yep they were cleared. Honestly i think its just because they got hot. That anodized red is not a heat-rated paint, and id say its held up well considering that.
