preformance shops?

Hi I'm new to the sight and I'll get more personal info when I get time. I'm in Afghanistan right now I'm an AOA mechanic. I've manily been looking on Camarosorce to find my info was just given this sight the other day so since I live in MI thought this would be a good place to look.

I'm looking for a preformance shop I found livernoise and they gave me some pritty decent prices on installs and tuning. Someone sugested CARS but they wern't shure about the installs I live in midland and would like to stay in MI to get my car hooked up.

I got most all my stuff from thunder racing the only thing not on this list is My under drive pullys and My QTP headers and Y pipe. I'm having it all installed. I know its going to be expensive I just want to find a good reliable shop.

Welcome to the site. Looks like your looking to add some power to the car. Always a good thing As far as shops go, theres a few. CARS, Wheel 2 Wheel, Hardcore Racing, Livernois. I personally would look more towards wheel 2 wheel or CARS. Livernois does decent work, but ive had my experience with the customer service..and i really wasnt to happy. Waited awhile. Alotta that stuff you have listed you could probably crack into yourself and save yourself alotta labor money. Depending on how mechanic savy you are. Good look on beging the mod-fest!

Oh I forgot to add the supercharger that adds 35 hp for 70 bucks he he.

I am mechanicly inclined but I want my car done for a carshow when I get home in aug. I dont have a gerage to do it in right now I'll have like 3 weeks to get it done so I have the cash to do it plus I can take it back if I have any problems. Plus I'm tired of working on stuff he he.

As far as the shops go do they have sights or contact #
I realy have to get on the ball here I have 4 weeks till I'm home. I aallready called livernoise and they seemed ok when I talked to them and they had flat rates on all their prices so other that a fuew bad PR problems do they do good work and back it up?

Well im not here to rip apart on a shop. As far as good work and backing it up..its hit or miss. Ive heard good..and ive heard bad.

You could talk to Drew aka Insomnya3am. He's starting his own speed shop. Hit him up with a PM, he'll most likely do it and he will do a good job. He's never worked on my car, but I've helped him on a few cars and he does good work. He knows his way around all cars. But you gotta talk to him about it, I dunno if he's got too much already.

Absolutely do not go to weracehardcore. They screwed me over with 2 cars, and I have met numerous others. Stay away from them.

I would suggest not totally getting rid of TC management as my friend did and his trans went 3 days later, I had mine tuned down a bit but its not completly gone and I don't have any problems thus far.

I know some one who has it down by 80% I didn't mean totaly get rid of it I'll just have it bumped down a bit.
Basicly I just want my car quicker with out taking away its streetabilty My goal is 400 hp at the wheels so if I'm not their I'll add heads he he.
I'll be taking it to the track but I just like driving it.
I'll be calling some shops monday to find out what they can do for me. Agin please tell me if anyone knows of a good shop that can give me their # some one with HP tuner. Thanks for all the post I allready have recived.

well from what i read...you have the TR 224 cam with a 112 LSA...that's my exact cam...and when i had that cam with stock heads and full bolt ons, i was at 395 at the wheels. mines a manual and aparently manuals put down more power on dyno's...either or...you'll probably be right around there...if you break 400 i'll be suprised...but you'll be right there!

That sound great SS4Matt I would totaly be happy with that I know their will be a little diffrence but I'd like to be around their I'm glad to see someone has the same cam as I bought. I'll probly wait till next summer to get the heads If I feal I need more he he.

yea it's a pretty decent all around street car cam. if i had a choice, i woulda personally gone larger myself. but my car had it in when i bought it, yea....you'll like it though! after a while just like anything you'll get used to it and want more power! the sound of cam's in these cars is great though!
