Backwoods will take care of you, my car will be going on their dyno soon... Don has HP Tuners, I helped to pay for it

I believe ls1edit locks the pcm and will not enable you to do further changes unless you're the one that set up the "tune", where as HP Tuners you can change from multiple computers, etc.

That is true but with HPtuners you can change tunes from any program and if your getting it dynotuned there should be no reason to have to change it. If so they should do it and a discounted price.

sometimes things can come up... with the octane gas you use regularily, maybe you want to switch your fans on earlier, or something for the street, etc, you could not do this unless you went back to the original LS1edit'er

Its your decision really but unless you yourself or a friend has HPtuners for your year you'd have to return to the tuner for any changes.

So thats my up date Thank agin I'll be shure to keep you posted and will let you know the results when it is done in Sept I'm realy looking forward to it.
Just to clear the air on this one. We do not use HP tuners or EFI live or LS1 Edit. A while back the company that was developing the software for Jet out of california put us on there beta tester list. I have used all of the above programs and they are very lacking in Data. The software was under the Tunercat tradename for a while and its what i use. The jet software has actually be stripped down quiet a bit but the software i am using now has more idle control and trans parameters along with fueling and spark then the other software out there at the moment.

As for PCM locking i do not lock PCM's. Any tune we do can be read by any other software.

The issue isnt the brand of software. The fact is the person manipulating the data in the PCM has control over how well your car runs ,drive starts etc. HP tunners software can tune a vehicle the same as any other brand of software. There are a bunch of things about Tunercat that i prefer hence why i use it.

The person doing the tunning ( calibration ) is really going to be your end result regardless of software.

                Sean @ CARS.

My bad, for some reason I thought you used LS1edit because I thought you said you locked my tune. Anyhow Sean you think it'd be convinent if I came by the shop today to get my antenna fixed? I also have a couple other small questions.

Ok so the decision is between Stenod and Cars. They both gave me similar prices on the installs so now I'd like to here some feed back if you have any on thoes shops. I know Sean post here so I know what your vote will be he he. I am leaning towards Cars though he said three day and stenod said a week and Cars had a price for me right then stenod sent me a Email a day later, but for now thats the only diffrence between them as far as I know.
