My personal opinion is that its a waste of money, go put on a blindfold and play darts you'll do just as well.Doing less with more

Trifecta is the best out there for "mail-order", but its not just one tune. Vince sends you the tune, you upload it, then you can datalog and send it to him, and he'll tweak it, send you a new one. Repeat till it's nice and done. That's what I did with my car!

much better procedure IMO if you are going to do it without the tuner being present.Originally posted by MP81 View PostTrifecta is the best out there for "mail-order", but its not just one tune. mail order tunes are not a waste of time, I've had better luck with mail order tunes then a few hack jobs on this site.
last time i had a tune from someone on this site, not saying who, my shifts sucked, my car puffed blue smoke, and constantly tried to die at red lights...
for 250 dollars F that
I pay 40 dollars for my mail order tunes and they haven't let me down yet

I went with PCM4Less and they didn't let me down. Of course, like others have said, they don't know the exact AFR and various timing needs to be tweaked, but all in all, it got me to the M&G and hasn't thrown a code yet. I plan on making a trip out to SBT to fine tune, but at the moment, I have some breathing room and it does run WAY better than it did before.sigpic
Why the Hell do I have to press 1 for english?!

A mail order tune will never be as good, as somebody dyno tuning, or driving your call while tuning it. Well worth the money in my opinion. With that said, i'm on a budget and for a cam only and bolt on car.....my car has run pretty good for the last year or so with a tune from madz28. The mail orders are plenty cheaper, but like somebody already said......you get what you pay for.sigpic1994 Camaro Z28 83K M6, CAI, AFR 190cc, 11.6:1, Hooker headers, Hooker ORY, Mangnaflow exhaust, AI 230/238, 1.6 RR, B&M Short throw, Hays clutch, 4.10 gear.

manuals should be launched off the limiter and the throttle shouldn't leave the floor til 10 feet after the finish line

well im going to a shop on monday to figure out my true cam specs, dont know how thats gonna go??? Ive heard you can hook it up to a very expensive scanner and it can pull info like cam specs, cuz im not tearing it down to find my cam specs.
But yea i know a dyno tune is the best but the only place ive found to do it is all the way out in jackson and it was over $500 which i dont have right now.
So thats why im going with a mail order tune, i have the burnable chips anyways(93). Its not a stroker engine or anything like that. Just a bolt on car for right now.
As for the Fuel pressure and injectors i have the stock injectors.sigpic

Another thing do you guys know any place in the downriver area or close to the area that could dyno tune my car since its an OBD1, ive called local shops but they wont deal with it.
Im in Romulus, its right next to Taylor. Just trying to find a shop so in the future i can get it dyno tuned.
