I want some new bolt on mods for my ls1

Im lookin to get some new parts for the TA but not to sure what to get. Currently I have LT Hooker headers with a full borla exhaust, with a cam that is mild, specs unknown. Suspension wise its been dropped, new race panhard bar and subframe connectors. Its never been tuned that I know of. The person who owned it prior to me drilled the throttle body hole out more to accomidate the cam. What could I get that will give the engine some more HP and TQ?

a tune would be a good place to start, but an LS6 intake would be my first mod and then have it tuned.

all LS6 intakes are factory intakes, unless you wanna pay more for one from SLP. You should be able to find them on tech for $300-350 dont pay any more than that. I didn't know you were an auto, if thats the case a converter will improve your car MUCH more than an LS6 intake but both should be future plans. With either mod you'll want to get a good tune though.

Well that complete ls6 intake on ebay comes with the tb, injectors, rails, mao sensor and hardware. All for 438 free shipping. The throttle body I have now, the hole in the center was drilled out bigger to let more air in for the cam. If I got a tune would I need to replace the drilled TB? and what size injectors are stock on the ls1? These one's state they are 28lbs. Also if I was to go with the stall what would be a good number 2800-3200? I'd also have a spare TB to practice porting on.

the tb is the same, the rail and injectors are as well so all you need is the intake why waste money on the other parts? I believe all tbs have a small hole in them and having it opened up some shouldn't affect anything. You usually want to match the stall to the cam but since yours in unknown 3400-3600 is very common for most cars.

Yes, they all do have a small hole in them, but mine was drilled out to I beleive 1/4''. I am not sure whether or not it would affect a tune though.

you should be just fine, I had a 90mm TB on my fast and it was drilled out big as well and it never caused any issues.

well as I mentioned a converter will wake up the car much more but your going to need a retune after, you could run the LS6 intake as is and save for a tune after but thats your choice.

Converter before intake. There shouldn't even be a debate between those 2.
